Denver Botanic Gardens has opened the city's first publicly accessible green roof, located above our "Offshoots at the Gardens cafe". The green roof is the first of its kind on a city-owned building in Denver, and is a highly visible demonstration of the many benefits of green roofs for communities and for building owners."

On the banks of Cherry Creek, just four miles from downtown Denver, Four Mile Historic Park is a 12 acre oasis featuring Denver's oldest standing structure, pioneer exhibits, special events for all ages, and guided tours that transport visitors to Colorado's frontier past. Visitors can tour the historic house, say hello to our horses, goats, and chickens, learn about the craftmanship of the historic barns and outbuildings, or just spread a blanket under a shady tree and enjoy a beautiful day. Guests can enjoy a horse-drawn ride around the Park on most weekends. Also, don't forget to come out for all manner old-fashioned family fun at one of our special events throughout the year.
